About your teacher...
Hello! My name is Megan Garner Hardee and I will be your science teacher this school year. My husband's name is Tyler Hardee, and my fur baby is a handsome Boxer dog named Bodie! Also, we are very excited to welcome a baby boy name Ryder Tate Hardee to our family this fall. Our families are locals of this community and its schools. We are very active in sports and community events. We are ECU Pirate Club Members and attend many sporting events at the University.
I am graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Concentration in General Science. I have acquired my middle grades Science Education Certification, and earned my Masters Degree in Science Education from East Carolina University.
Throughout my college education and teaching experience, I worked as Lead Counselor and then Assistant Director of the ECU Summer Science Camp. I have experience teaching both elementary and middle grades as well as Science Teaching Methods courses at East Carolina University as a adjunct instructor during the summer.
I am looking forward to all the adventures this school year will bring: meeting new students, becoming a mommy to Ryder Tate, and tackling my 9th year of teaching. I will be on maternity leave for a short time this fall, but I am confident the classroom will run smoothly and the students will be successful while I am out.
